Many have claimed that tetracycline will improve acne condition in just a matter of a few weeks or less. By taking this antibiotics, you will start to see your acne (the papules and pustules) to flatten and the new ones should stop popping up. However, even if your acne is gone, the consumption of tetracycline will still need to be continued (sometimes to several years) until the doctor says otherwise.
Yes, it effectively kills acne causing bacteria (p. acne) but consider this. If you are to take this drugs for several years, it is almost a sure thing that you are going to develop some side effects as a result of taking the antibiotics. Some patients have experience a drop in their liver's and kidney's functionalities.
Other side effects of taking tetracycline are:
- Pregnant women will cause the infant's teeth to be discolored. It may also slow the infant's growth. VERY very serious side effect is this. Pregnant women with acne, stay away from this drug please! If you want to treat your acne during pregnancy, I recommend taking those natural antibiotics, which are just raw herbs and spices. Natural antibiotics are very good and effective for acne, so I will be writing more on those in the future.
- If a child takes this drug, it will cause the child's teeth to be discolored.
- Sometimes, it may cause inflammation to your esophagus and stomach. Very severe condition
- Expect to feel a mild abdominal upset if you are thinking of using this drug
- Yeast infection
- Severe rashes, if it ever occurs
- Rarely cause some very severe headaches
- Discoloration of eyes, skin, and so on. They will turn yellowish
- Joint paint
I would recommend people with acne to:
- Read and apply the techniques in Acne No More System.
- Eat more vegetables and fruits (as they are great sources of vitamins and minerals, in natural forms)
- Eat more fibers, as fibers are essential in your digestion and detoxification of the body. A lot of fibers can be found in vegetables. Meat does not contain any fiber.
- Stop worrying about your acne, it will leave sooner (if you follow my advice) or later ( if you don't follow my advice) :-) LOL
- Use Natural ANTIBIOTICS to treat your acne. My favorites are ginger and onions. Raw, if possible. If they are cooked, most of their antibiotic capabilities are gone.
- Wash your face properly. I have included a face washing guide for acne in this blog.
- and that's all...
